Special Events

In 2024 we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Society's founding with a 2-day conference: 30 Years of Gravity Research in Australasia: Past Reflections and Future Ambitions. The conference took place on 2-3 September, 2024, and was hosted by the Australian National University, Canberra, Australia.

The Society hosted the joint 18th International Conference on General Relativity and Gravitation (GRG18) and 7th Edoardo Amaldi Conference on Gravitational Waves (Amaldi7) from 8-14 July, 2007 in Sydney, Australia.

The Kerr Fest in celebration of Professor Roy Kerr's 70th birthday was held from 26-28 August, 2004 at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand.
